Cleans brass cases well.
7 January 2019As far as affordable vibrating tumblers go, this one works great for cleaning brass cases. With crushed walnut media, you get a lot of dust. Walnut media cleans well but the brass doesn't come out shiny. There's almost no dust with crushed corn cob media and it cleans well too and the brass comes out shiny. If you want it polished, add some polish. The cases come out clean using either dry media. If you remove primers prior to cleaning, the primer holes won't be as clean as using wet media with steel pins and little pieces of the dry media get stuck in the primer pocket and flash holes. They are easily removed with a small pin punch or compressed air.
