Will these 6.5x55mm snap caps work in my vintage Carl Gustaf Swedish Mauser as well as modern rifles like the Tikka T3x?

Yes, they are CNC-machined to exact standard SAAMI and CIP dimensions for the 6.5x55mm SE cartridge, ensuring reliable feeding and extraction across both classic military surplus rifles and modern hunting platforms commonly used in Australia.

How many dry-fire strikes can I expect from the integrated primer before the snap cap needs to be replaced?

The synthetic Dead Cap primer insert is engineered to absorb firing pin impact and is rated by the manufacturer to withstand over 3,000 dry-fire strikes, making it durable enough for extensive trigger practice and offhand bolt manipulation drills.

Can I use these A-Zoom snap caps with electronic laser dry-fire target tracking systems?

No, these are purely mechanical, solid aluminium inert training rounds designed to protect your firing pin and practice cycling actions. If you require electronic laser target tracking, electro-optical laser dry-fire cartridges are better suited for that specific application.

6.5x55 Snap Caps - A-Zoom 12251

The A-Zoom 6.5x55 SE Aluminium Snap Caps are precision-machined dummy rounds engineered for safe dry-fire training, action cycling, and firearm storage. CNC-machined from solid billet aluminium to standard SAAMI and CIP exterior cartridge dimensions, these inert training rounds match the exact profile of 6.5x55mm Swedish (SE) Mauser ammunition. Each unit features a central synthetic polymer "Dead Cap" that absorbs firing pin energy to protect the firing pin and internal mechanism from impact damage during trigger practice.

Key Features

Firing Pin Protection: The durable "Dead Cap" synthetic primer insert absorbs the force of dry firing, preventing firing pin breakage and excessive component wear.
Precision Feeding and Extraction: Machined from solid aluminium billet to exact 6.5x55mm dimensions for realistic feeding from internal or detachable box magazines, chambering, and extraction.
Visual Safety Identification: Finished in a distinct red hard-anodised coating to ensure immediate visual distinction from live ammunition.
Extended Service Life: Engineered to withstand over 3,000 dry-fire strikes per cap before requiring replacement.
