Will these .38 Special snap caps also chamber safely in a .357 Magnum firearm?

Yes, these A-Zoom snap caps are precision-machined to fit both .38 Special and .357 Magnum chambers, making them ideal for lever-action rifle loading drills and revolver practice in either calibre. They match the exact external dimensions of a live SAAMI-spec .38 Special cartridge for realistic feeding and extraction.

How many dry-fire strikes can I expect from each aluminum snap cap before the primer wears out?

Each snap cap is rated for over 3,000 dry-fire strikes thanks to A-Zoom's proprietary resilient synthetic "Dead Cap" primer insert. This polymer insert effectively cushions your firearm's firing pin to prevent breakage or deformation during extended trigger control practice.

Do I need any special permits or Australian compliance certifications to purchase these inert snap caps?

No special permits or electrical certifications (such as SAA or RCM) are required, as these are entirely mechanical, inert training accessories with no electrical components. However, Australian firearm owners should still observe local state regulations regarding the storage and transport of dummy or training rounds at commercial ranges.

Are these aluminum snap caps weighted to match live ammunition for weight-sensitive reloading drills?

No, because they are constructed from solid CNC-machined aluminum, they are lighter than fully lead or brass-loaded live cartridges. If you are a reloader requiring exact live-cartridge mass balance for weight-sensitive drills, you should look for weighted dummy rounds instead.
