The Hawke Honeycomb Sunshade (MPN 62102) is a low-profile optical accessory designed to screw directly into Hawke 32mm Adjustable Objective (AO) riflescopes manufactured from the 2015 collection onwards. Built from lightweight anodised aluminium, it utilises an internal kill-flash mesh grid to cut off harsh off-axis sunlight and eliminate downrange objective lens glint. Adding only 9 mm of installed length to the optic, it delivers the glare suppression of a full-sized tubular shade without disrupting rifle balance or adding bulk to hunting rigs.

Key Features

• Internal Honeycomb Grid: Eliminates bright objective lens reflections and cuts off-axis flare without the extended overhang of traditional tubes.
• Ultra-Compact Profile: Extends the scope by just 9 mm, preserving the rifle's snag-free handling and scabbard clearance.
• Lightweight Anodised Aluminium: Provides a durable, mechanical barrier against direct glare while adding negligible weight to the firearm platform.
• Passive Operation: Fully mechanical thread-in accessory requiring no wiring, battery power, or electronic components.

Who is the Hawke Honeycomb Sunshade 32mm AO for?

• Small game hunters using 32mm AO riflescopes — Requires an ultra-compact 9 mm installed length that prevents game-spooking forward lens flash while maintaining the compact handling of rimfire and lightweight hunting setups.
• Pest control shooters in bright sunlight — Needs a dedicated 32mm AO honeycomb sunshade that blocks harsh off-axis glare during open-field daytime culling without altering rifle balance.
• Field target air rifle shooters — Relies on a threaded shade engineered strictly for Hawke 32mm AO optics (2015 collection onwards) to stop target washout when shooting directly toward low sun angles.

Less suitable for: Low-light, dawn, or dusk hunting where the honeycomb grid restricts light transmission (a standard 2-inch tubular sunshade is preferred to maximise optical throughput), as well as heavy rain, mud, or extreme dust environments where debris can pack into the honeycomb cells.
