Will the Hawke 38cm Neoprene Scope Cover (Model 99214) fit my Hawke Sidewinder 6-24x56 FFP riflescope?

Yes, this 15-inch (38.1 cm) cover is designed to fit scopes matching that overall length and is fully compatible with standard long-range optics such as the Hawke Sidewinder 30 FFP series. However, if you have a massive sunshade attached extending the total length beyond 38 cm, you may need to step up to the 16-inch alternative size.

How does the neoprene material hold up against harsh Australian outback and damp bush conditions?

The stretch-fit neoprene material is weather-resistant and naturally suited to Australian environments, protecting your optical lenses and scope chassis from outback dust, mud, moisture, and scratches. While exact numerical temperature ratings are not specified by Hawke, the durable fabric is engineered for all-weather ambient field use during transport or stalk hunting.

Does this cover require any special electrical compliance or regulatory certifications for use in Australia?

No, the Hawke Neoprene Scope Cover is a passive mechanical and textile accessory containing no electronic components. Therefore, 240V power compatibility, Australian plugs, and SAA or RCM regulatory certifications are entirely inapplicable to this product.

How quickly can I remove the cover when I need to take a sudden shot in the field?

The flexible stretch-fit design allows for silent, quick, and snag-free removal in the field compared to loud hard plastic flip-up caps. Simply pull the neoprene ends off the objective bell and eyepiece to deploy your scope quietly when presenting for a shot.

Neoprene Scope Cover - Hawke 99214

The Hawke Neoprene Scope Cover 15″ / 38cm (Model 99214) provides form-fitting protection for mounted riflescopes against dust, moisture, mud, scratches, and light impact. Engineered from flexible neoprene, this slip-on cover stretches over both the objective bell and the eyepiece to shield optical glass and the scope chassis during stalk hunting, transit, and storage. Its soft construction ensures completely silent, snag-free removal in the field, eliminating the mechanical clicking sounds associated with hard plastic optic caps.

Rifle Owners Transporting Long-Range Firearms — protects the scope chassis and exposed lenses from scuffs and vibrations inside gun bags and vehicles when fitted to standard 38.1 cm (15-inch) riflescopes.
