The HKS Model 25-5 Revolver Speedloader is a mechanical reloading accessory engineered to load six rounds of .45 Colt (.45 Long Colt) ammunition simultaneously into compatible large-frame revolver cylinders. Built with a high-impact black polymer body, internal metal retention pins, and a textured knurled aluminum twist knob, the speedloader secures cartridges firmly and releases them instantly into the cylinder chambers with a simple counter-clockwise turn. Weighing approximately 45 g to 55 g, this fully manual unit provides consistent, dependable reloading without relying on springs or electrical power.

Key Features

• Twist-Release Mechanism: Uses an external knurled metal knob that rotates clockwise to lock cartridges behind internal metal pins and counter-clockwise to release all six rounds into the cylinder.
• "M" Series Jiggle Alignment: Engineered with built-in cartridge play to assist shooters in aligning six large-bore .45 Colt rounds into the chambers simultaneously.
• Durable Construction: Combines a rugged black polymer exterior casing with metal internal retention components for wear resistance during frequent range use.
• Manual Mechanical Operation: Requires no batteries, external power, or spring tension to operate, ensuring reliable mechanical function across standard ambient shooting conditions.

Who is the HKS Model 25-5 Speedloader for?

• Smith & Wesson Model 25-5 Target Shooters — Delivers a dedicated 6 rounds capacity in .45 Colt calibre, allowing target competitors to drop a full cylinder load into large N-frame revolvers in a single twist action.
• Taurus .45 Raging Bull Range Shooters — Provides rapid cylinder reloads using a fixed .45 Colt calibre configuration with 6 rounds capacity to streamline practice sessions at the range.

Less suitable for: Shooters using rimless .45 ACP or .45 Auto Rim cartridges, revolvers with 5-shot or 7/8-shot cylinders, or revolvers fitted with oversized custom target grips that block cylinder clearance; these setups require dedicated moon clips, calibre-specific speedloaders, or relief-cut slim-profile grip panels.
