The Pachmayr 1911 American Legend Laminate Grip in Evergreen Camo (Model 00432) upgrades standard full-size Colt 1911 pistols by combining the traditional appearance of finished multi-layer wood laminate with the handling performance of synthetic rubber. Designed to improve weapon control and cushion recoil, this hybrid grip features a wraparound front strap with integrated finger grooves and side rubber inserts. Engineered with pre-cut relief clearances, it accommodates ambidextrous thumb safeties and includes a designated mainspring housing pin cut-out to fit full-size 1911 platforms without blocking standard controls.

Who is the Pachmayr 1911 American Legend Laminate Grip for?

• IPSC and practical pistol competitors — handles fast-paced recoil management and grip transitions on full-size 1911 platforms using a 6 oz (170 g) hybrid laminate and rubber construction with fixed front finger grooves.
• Handgun hunters — provides secure weapon retention and recoil dampening across high-energy chamberings like 10mm Auto and .45 ACP on Government-sized frames.
• Recreational range shooters — delivers added traction and ergonomic control when firing standard calibres such as 9x19mm and .38 Super compared to factory flat panels.

Less suitable for: Owners of compact or Officer-sized 1911 handguns with shorter frame profiles; compact-specific grip panels with shorter overall lengths fit those frames better.
