How do I mount these Pro-Shot 12-inch targets since they have the TG tag paper designation?

The TG model utilizes heavyweight tagboard construction without a self-adhesive backing, meaning you will need to mount them using standard range target clips, staples, or by hanging them on target stands. If you prefer a peel-and-stick backing to attach directly to cardboard backers without staples, you should look for the non-TG variant instead.

Can I use these reactive targets effectively for both pistol and rifle shooting?

Yes, these 12-inch green bullseye targets are versatile enough for pistol accuracy training at 5 to 25 metres as well as zeroing precision rifles at 50 to 200 metres. Upon impact, the target fractures the top coating to reveal a high-visibility white and green halo, letting you easily check your shot placement through a spotting scope without walking downrange.

How do these paper targets hold up in wet outdoor conditions at the range?

While the heavyweight tag paper provides good structural rigidity and resists tearing in light breezes, it remains moisture-sensitive like standard paper stock. For outdoor shooting sessions during sustained heavy rain in Australian bush or range environments, you will want to use weather shields or alternative synthetic targets to prevent the paper from degrading.

Are there any electrical compliance requirements or special certifications needed for these targets in Australia?

No electrical compliance, SAA, or RCM certifications are required because this is a purely mechanical, passive paper target product that does not use mains electricity or batteries. They are fully compliant for commercial sale and regular use at shooting clubs and ranges throughout Australia.

Splatter Target - Pro-Shot 12B-Green-TG-12PK

The Proshot Splatter Shot 12" Green Bullseye Target With Tag Paper - 12 Pack (SKU: 12B-Green-TG-12PK) is a reactive shooting target system designed to provide instant downrange visual feedback. Each 12-inch (approximately 30.5 cm) target features a high-contrast black background with high-visibility green scoring rings and bullseye markings. Upon projectile impact, the surface coating fractures to reveal a bright white and green halo around the entry hole, allowing shooters to confirm shot placement through spotting scopes, binoculars, or open sights without stepping downrange. Printed on heavy tagboard paper, these targets offer rigid structural support for standard range clips and staple mounting.

Key Features

Instant Reactive Splatter: Impact-sensitive coating exposes high-visibility halos around entry holes, enabling immediate shot identification across rimfire, centerfire rifle, handgun, and shotgun slug calibres.
Heavyweight Tagboard Stock: Stiff non-adhesive tag paper hangs flat on frames and stands, resisting curling and wind tear compared to standard thin paper targets.
High-Contrast Target Face: Designed with a black face and vivid green scoring rings to maintain target and reticle visibility in dim indoor lanes and overcast outdoor lighting.
Multi-Range Versatility: Compatible with handguns at 5 to 25 metres and rifles at 50 to 200 metres.
Convenient Pack Format: Supplied in a 12-pack sheet format (approximate total pack weight 0.4 to 0.5 kg) for range sessions, zeroing, and load development.

Who is the Proshot Splatter Shot 12" Green Bullseye Target With Tag Paper - 12 Pack for?

Precision rifle shooters — zeroing optics and assessing load development groupings at 50 to 200 metres using the immediate visual halo feedback across the 12-inch reactive paper shooting target surface without walking downrange.
Pistol shooters — conducting handgun accuracy training at 5 to 25 metres, utilising the rigid heavyweight tag paper construction of each 12-inch target sheet to hang flat from standard range target clips without tearing.

Less suitable for: Ultra-long-range shooting from 300 m to 1,000+ m where targets larger than 12 inches or reactive steel plates are required for extreme holdovers; users needing adhesive peel-and-stick mounting without staples, who require self-adhesive target variants; and outdoor use during sustained heavy rain, where synthetic waterproof targets or enclosed weather shields are necessary to prevent tagboard degradation.
