How do the 1-inch grid markings work with metric MRAD scopes compared to traditional MOA optics?

The target features a standard 1-inch numbered grid overlay, which provides a direct 1:1 correlation for shooters using MOA-based optics since 1 MOA equals approximately 1.047 inches at 100 yards. If you are running an MRAD or metric click-adjustment scope, you will simply need to account for metric conversions, such as 0.1 MRAD equaling 1 cm at 100 metres, when calculating your windage and elevation adjustments directly off the bullet holes.

What is the recommended maximum distance for using these 17.75-inch targets effectively without a spotting scope?

The high-contrast fluorescent green splatter halo virtually eliminates the need for a spotting scope at standard zeroing ranges between 50 and 200 metres. While the targets can be used out to 300 metres, distances beyond that typically require high-magnification spotting optics or larger oversized sheets exceeding 24 inches for clear group verification.

Does the peel-and-stick adhesive hold up well in outdoor Australian bush conditions with dust and morning dew?

Yes, the heavy-duty all-weather tag paper is backed by a robust peel-and-stick adhesive formulation designed to bond firmly to flat backers, cardboard, wood, or existing used target paper in field environments. It maintains reliable adhesion even when exposed to light dust, surface moisture, and morning dew during outback range sessions.

Are these targets compatible with rimfire and shotgun calibres, or are they strictly for centerfire rifles?

These targets are universally compatible across all projectile types and calibres, including rimfire rounds like .22 LR and .17 HMR, pistol calibres, airguns, and shotguns. The patented dual-layer coating reacts to any projectile impact by revealing the bright fluorescent green halo around the hole.

Splatter Target - Pro-Shot 17.75SI-5PK

The Pro-Shot SplatterShot 17.75" Square Sight-In Target (5-Pack) is a reactive paper shooting target designed for rapid optic zeroing and group verification. Featuring patented SplatterShot technology, each projectile impact reveals a high-visibility, bright fluorescent green halo against the target face, allowing shooters to confirm shot placement from 50 to over 200 metres without relying heavily on a spotting scope or making trips downrange. The heavy-duty, all-weather tag paper includes a full peel-and-stick adhesive backing that mounts directly to target boards, cardboard, wood, or existing backers without requiring staples.

Who is the Proshot Splatter Shot 17.25" Peel & Stick Sight-In Target 5-Pack for?

Long-Range Rifle Shooters Zeroing Optics — Uses the 1-inch numbered grid and 17.75" × 17.75" sheet dimensions to calculate exact windage and elevation turret adjustments from 50 to 200+ metres without needing to walk downrange.
Handloaders Conducting Ballistic Load Development — Provides a dedicated 5-target layout on each reactive paper shooting target, allowing shooters to test up to four separate powder charges or seating depths around the main sight-in point on a single sheet.
Shooters Testing Group Sizes at Indoor or Outdoor Ranges — Delivers fluorescent green impact rings across a 17.75" × 17.75" surface that remain clearly visible through standard rifle scopes across varied indoor and outdoor lighting conditions.

Less suitable for: Extreme long-range shooting beyond 300 metres, where oversized target sheets exceeding 24 inches or electronic target systems are better suited to catch wide initial impacts.
