How well does the Pro-Shot Bio 4x Gun Oil hold up in extreme Australian outback temperatures?

The oil is engineered with an impressive operating temperature range from -40°F to 590°F (-40°C to 310°C). It features a high flashpoint and high viscosity index that prevents the formula from thinning out or burning off under intense arid heat or rapid-fire shooting conditions.

Is this 1oz needle oiler suitable for heavy-duty cleaning or soaking firearm bores?

No, the 1 fl oz needle bottle is specifically designed for targeted micro-lubrication and precision drop-application in tight-tolerance areas like trigger assemblies and slide rails. Bulk degreasing, bore soaking, or general external wipe-downs are better handled by spray aerosol cleaners or bulk liquid containers.

Are there any electrical or regulatory compliance markings like RCM required for this product in Australia?

As a non-powered, mechanical consumable chemical product, electrical compliance requirements such as 240V compatibility, SAA approvals, and RCM compliance markings are not applicable.

What makes the Pro-Shot Bio 4x formula safe for indoor use and sensitive airgun components?

The base formula relies on non-toxic, biodegradable, bio-based vegetable oils derived from renewable USA-grown crops that are completely odour-free. This ensures you can maintain firearms indoors or service airgun seals without dealing with harsh or foul chemical smells.

Gun Oil - Pro-Shot BIO4-1 NEEDLE

The Pro-Shot Bio 4x All Weather Gun Oil with Needle Applicator is a precision bio-based lubricating oil engineered for firearms, airguns, and fine mechanical assemblies. Formulated from renewable US-grown crops, this non-toxic and odour-free oil delivers four times the lubricity of standard petroleum-based formulas to reduce friction and condition metal. Its specialized needle oiler tip allows controlled micro-dosing directly into tight-tolerance actions, trigger groups, and slide rails without over-saturating surrounding surfaces. Designed to resist evaporation in extreme heat while repelling moisture and corrosion, it functions reliably across a wide operating envelope spanning -40°C to 310°C (-40°F to 590°F).

Key Features

Precision Needle Dispenser: Outfitted with a fine metal needle applicator tip and protective cap to deliver pinpoint drops into hard-to-reach pins, slide rails, and bolt carrier assemblies.
4x Lubricity Formulation: Bio-based vegetable oil base provides four times the film strength and lubricity of petroleum alternatives, conditioning metal under high friction.
Extreme Thermal Stability: Features a high viscosity index and high flashpoint that resists burn-off and thinning across temperatures from -40°C to 310°C.
Corrosion and Penetration Action: Rapidly penetrates tight tolerances to displace moisture, free seized parts, and leave a rust-inhibiting barrier.
Non-Toxic and Odourless: Plant-derived, biodegradable formula contains no harsh chemicals or foul odours, making it safe for indoor cleaning and airgun seals.

Who is the Pro-Shot Bio 4x All Weather Gun Oil 1oz Needle for?

Competitive Shooters — requires micro-dosing lubrication onto tight-tolerance slide rails and trigger groups that will not burn off or thin under high-volume fire up to 310°C (590°F) using a targeted precision needle oiler.
Hunters — requires a compact, leak-resistant 1 fl oz bottle for field kits and range bags that maintains liquid viscosity in freezing conditions down to -40°C (-40°F) while displacing moisture in coastal or humid environments.
Airgun Enthusiasts and Indoor Shooters — benefits from an odour-free, non-toxic 1 fl oz firearm lubricating oil that is safe for small mechanical interfaces and indoor maintenance areas without harsh chemical fumes.

Less suitable for: Bulk degreasing, full bore soaking, or broad exterior wipe-downs (which are better served by spray aerosol CLP cleaners or bulk liquid containers), or high-pressure rifle locking lugs that specifically require heavy synthetic firearm grease.
