This makes the cutting edge very bulbous in the front part and thus lengthens it. This has the advantage that much longer cuts can be made and the repeated application of the knife is reduced. Since the tip of the blade is very high up, the risk of accidentally piercing the precious hide is also significantly minimized. On the continuous Flacherl sit selected deer horn scales and a reliable finger protection made of aluminum.
