Will the Rifle Basix CZ-53 fit my CZ 452 or CZ 455 rimfire rifle?

No, the CZ-53 is exclusively engineered for the receiver and stanchion geometry of the CZ 453 bolt-action rimfire series. If you own a CZ 452, you will need the Rifle Basix CZ-52 model instead, while the CZ 455 requires the CZ-55.

What is the adjustable pull weight range for this replacement trigger?

The trigger is user-adjustable from 12 oz to 2.5 lbs using the supplied low-weight spring included in the package. If you prefer a pull weight exceeding 3.0 lbs for rough field hunting, the manufacturer specifies retaining the original factory spring.

Does this mechanical trigger require any electrical compliance or SAA/RCM approvals for sale in Australia?

As a purely mechanical firearm component containing no electronic parts, 240V compatibility, SAA approval, and RCM regulatory compliance are not applicable. However, installation must comply with local state and territory firearm safety guidelines.

Does the CZ-53 maintain compatibility with the factory safety mechanism on the CZ 453?

Yes, this precision aftermarket drop-in trigger maintains full compatibility with the factory rifle safety. It converts the dual-mode factory single-set trigger into a crisp, consistent single-stage pull with independent adjustments for weight, sear engagement, and over-travel.

CZ 453 Trigger Upgrade - Rifle Basix CZ-53

The Rifle Basix CZ-53 is a precision aftermarket drop-in replacement trigger designed specifically for Česká zbrojovka (CZ) 453 bolt-action rimfire rifles chambered in .22 LR, .17 HMR, and .22 WMR. Engineered to eliminate the factory single-set trigger assembly, it converts the rifle into a dedicated single-stage trigger system that operates without forward blade manipulation. The unit maintains full compatibility with the factory rifle safety and features independent adjustments for pull weight, sear engagement, and over-travel to deliver a crisp, creep-free break.

Who is the Rifle Basix CZ-53 Replacement Trigger for?

Precision Rimfire Competitors — Delivers a zero-creep, single-stage release tunable down to 12 oz (approx. 340 g) to maximise shot-to-shot consistency on CZ 453 benchrest and smallbore silhouette rifles.
Small Game and Pest Hunters — Provides an adjustable pull window from 12 oz up to 2.5 lbs (approx. 1.13 kg), giving Australian field shooters a predictable, safe break for targeting rabbits and foxes from prone or unsupported field positions.

Less suitable for: Precision target shooters requiring sub-12 oz pull weights, who are better served by a purpose-built two-stage target trigger; owners of standard CZ 452 or CZ 455 rimfire rifles, which feature different receiver geometries and require their own model-specific replacement triggers.
