What devices are compatible with the S&B Sellier & Bellot 6mm Flobert Blanc Ammo?

These 6mm Flobert rimfire crimped blanks are designed specifically for standard 6mm Flobert, 6mm Start, and .22 short/Flobert blank-firing revolvers, starter pistols, and compatible 15mm pyrotechnic launcher devices such as the RG-3 series. They are strictly incompatible with .22 LR live chambers without adapters, 8mm blank pistols, 9mm PAK, or 9mm Flobert chambers.

Can I use these 6mm Flobert blanks to launch wildlife scare cartridges?

Yes, they are ideal for landingholders and trainers to propel and ignite standard 15mm pyrotechnic wildlife scare cartridges, such as bangers and screamers, using compatible launcher adapter cups.

Are there any specific firearms licensing requirements for purchasing blank ammunition in Australia?

Yes, in Australia, blank ammunition and blank-firing starter pistols are subject to varying state and territory firearms and dangerous goods legislation. Depending on whether you reside in NSW, QLD, VIC, or WA, you may need a firearms licence, a blank-firing permit, or proof of a genuine reason like athletic officiating or animal training.

How should I store these 100-round packs to ensure reliable ignition?

The pack weighs just 0.05 kg and comes in compact dimensions of 19mm by 53mm by 53mm, making it easy to store in dry conditions. You must keep them in standard dry, non-submerged operating and storage environments to prevent moisture compromise on the rimfire priming compound.

6mm Blank Ammo - S&B V352007

The Sellier & Bellot 6 mm Flobert Blanc cartridge (model number V352007) is a projectile-free rimfire blank engineered to deliver a loud acoustic report and visible muzzle flash. Manufactured with factory brass casings and a precision crimp, these cartridges produce minimal propellant residue to limit mechanical fouling in cylinders, barrels, and vent ports. Each cartridge features a nominal diameter of 6.0 mm (0.236 in) and carries no bullet weight, resulting in an effective terminal ballistic range, energy rating, and velocity of zero. Supplied in a compact 100-round container measuring 19 mm (L) × 53 mm (W) × 53 mm (H) with a total pack weight of 0.05 kg (50 g), this ammunition provides reliable rimfire ignition for sporting, field training, and signal launching applications.

Key Features

Who is the S&B Sellier & Bellot 6mm Flobert Blanc Ammo 100 Rd for?

Track-and-field and athletic meet officials — requires reliable acoustic signalling from standard starter pistols, supported by a 100 round pack of 6 mm Flobert blank ammunition that carries a transport weight of just 0.05 kg per box.
Bird dog and retriever trainers — relies on consistent report levels for canine gun-shyness desensitisation, facilitated by 6.0 mm diameter blank cartridges that produce clean rimfire ignition across multiple 100-round field training sessions.
Landholders and pest managers — needs to ignite and launch 15 mm pyrotechnic wildlife bangers and screamers using compatible launcher adapters powered by 6 mm Flobert blank ammunition packed in portable 0.05 kg boxes.

Less suitable for: Blank-firing handguns or signalling tools chambered for 8 mm blank pistols, 9 mm PAK, or 9 mm Flobert chambers, as well as .22 LR rimfire live chambers without adapters; these configurations require larger-diameter, dedicated centre-fire or calibre-matched blank cartridges.
