Are these S&B 6.5x57 Mauser brass cases compatible with 6.5x57R or 6.5x55mm Swedish rifles?

No, these cases are strictly designed for standard rimless 6.5x57mm Mauser chambers and are not interchangeable with rimmed 6.5x57R break-action calibres. They are also incompatible with 6.5x55mm Swedish or 6.5 Creedmoor due to distinct differences in case head dimensions, lengths, and shoulder angles.

What type of primers do these Sellier & Bellot unprimed brass cases require?

These cases use Boxer Large Rifle primers, specifically tailored for S&B's 5.3 mm primer pocket specifications. As unprimed virgin brass, they require full-length or neck sizing, chamfering, and deburring before initial priming and powder charging.

Do I need to provide any documentation to purchase these brass cases in Australia?

Yes, under Australian state and territory firearms legislation, empty brass cartridge cases and reloading components are subject to local supply restrictions. XHunter is legally required to verify that you hold a valid, current Australian Firearms Licence before finalising your order.

6.5x57 Brass Cases - Sellier Bellot V337242

The Sellier & Bellot 6.5x57 Mauser Unprimed Brass Cases provide virgin reloading components designed for handloaders assembling custom ammunition for 6.5x57mm Mauser firearms. Manufactured in the Czech Republic from solid drawn cartridge brass, each rimless case is factory annealed at the neck and shoulder to preserve ductility, maintain uniform neck tension, and extend reloadable service life across repeated firings. Standardised to C.I.P. dimensions, these virgin cases accept standard 0.264-inch (6.7 mm) projectiles and require routine full-length sizing or neck sizing, chamfering, and deburring prior to initial powder charging and seating.

Key Features

Factory-Annealed Construction: Solid drawn brass cases feature heat-treated necks and shoulders to promote consistent projectile release and extend case life over multiple reloading cycles.
Standard Boxer Priming: Drilled flash holes are engineered specifically to seat standard 5.3 mm Boxer Large Rifle primers for straightforward handloading.
C.I.P. Dimensional Compliance: Manufactured to standard C.I.P. external profiles with a nominal case length of 57.00 mm and a base and rim diameter of 11.95 mm.
Reloading Consumable: Supplied as unprimed, virgin brass cases packaged in quantities of 20 per pack for custom load development.

Who is the S&B Sellier & Bellot 6.5x57 Mauser Unprimed Brass Cases 20 Pack for?

Handloaders loading for classic bolt-action rifles — requires virgin 6.5x57mm Mauser brass cases formed with a nominal 57.00 mm case length and Boxer Large Rifle primer pockets to assemble tailored range loads matching classic European bolt actions.
Medium-game hunters — relies on a 20-pack of virgin 6.5x57mm Mauser brass cases accepting standard 0.264-inch projectiles to develop specialized hunting cartridges for roe deer, red deer, wild boar, and feral pigs.

Less suitable for: Firearm platforms chambered in rimmed calibres like the 6.5x57R or dimensional variants like the 6.5x55mm Swedish and 6.5 Creedmoor; these actions require dedicated rimmed break-action cartridge brass or distinct short-action case geometries rather than a 57.00 mm rimless Mauser case head.
