The Sellier & Bellot TXRG Blue (eXergy Blue) is a monolithic copper rifle hunting projectile engineered for handloading .30-calibre cartridges. Designed with an aerodynamic blue polymer tip, grooved driving bands, and a boat-tail base, this non-toxic bullet provides deep straight-line penetration and rapid, uniform mushrooming while retaining nearly 100% of its initial weight. It provides handloaders with a lead-free alternative for medium-to-large game that eliminates lead fragmentation in harvested meat.

Key Features:

• Monolithic Copper Construction: Solid lead-free design retains virtually all original mass without breaking apart on heavy bone or thick muscle tissue.
• Polymer Tip Expansion: Blue synthetic tip initiates immediate, controlled expansion across varied impact velocities.
• Driving Band Grooves: Relief cuts along the bearing surface reduce barrel friction, minimise copper fouling, and manage chamber pressures.
• Boat-Tail Profile: Streamlined rear geometry works in tandem with the polymer tip to maintain a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.442.

Who is the S&B Sellier & Bellot .308 30 Caliber 180 Grain Txrg (Exergy) Blue Lead Free Bullet 30 Pack for?

• Handloaders hunting medium-to-large game in regions with lead-free mandates — requires 100% monolithic copper rifle hunting projectiles to eliminate lead meat contamination while maintaining high retained weight using an 180 grains (11.7 grams) design.
• Handloaders targeting deer and feral boars with .30-calibre rifles — relies on a .308 in (7.85 mm) nominal diameter bullet featuring an aerodynamic G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.442 and a G7 of 0.222 to deliver deep straight-line penetration on tough game animals.

Less suitable for: Rifles with barrel twist rates slower than 1:10 or long-range hunting setups where downrange impact velocities drop below 1,800 to 2,000 fps, where lighter 110-grain to 165-grain copper projectiles or standard lead-core hunting bullets are better suited to ensure full expansion and flight stability.
