The Sellier & Bellot 9mm Luger 124 Grain FMJ ammunition provides standard-pressure target, training, and competition cartridges for handguns, pistol-calibre carbines (PCCs), and rifles chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. Manufactured by Sellier & Bellot under product code V310492, each round features a 124-grain (8.00 g) lead-core projectile enclosed in a CuZn 10 copper-alloy metal jacket to reduce barrel lead fouling. Loaded in drawn, reloadable brass cases fitted with non-corrosive Boxer primers, this factory ammunition generates a muzzle velocity of 360 m/s and a muzzle energy of 518 J. Purchase and possession in Australia require a valid, category-appropriate firearms licence in compliance with state and territory firearms registries.

Key Features

• Clean-Shooting Projectile: Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) construction with a CuZn 10 jacket limits bore fouling and maintains barrel integrity during high-volume range sessions.
• Reloadable Components: Factory-drawn brass casings paired with standard Boxer primers allow multiple reload cycles.
• Factory Ballistic Performance: Produces 360 m/s muzzle velocity, retaining 340 m/s (462 J) at 25 metres with zero drop, and 323 m/s (418 J) at 50 metres with a -3.8 cm drop.
• Service Recoil Impulse: The 124-grain bullet weight replicates standard duty dynamics for realistic handling and rapid target transitions.

Who is the S&B Sellier & Bellot 9mm Luger 124 Grain FMJ Ammo 50 Rd for?

• IPSC and Steel Challenge handgun competitors — Delivers an estimated 146 kgr·fps power factor from a 124-grain projectile at 360 m/s, comfortably exceeding the 125 Minor Power Factor floor for reliable cycling and scoring across practical shooting stages.
• Pistol-calibre carbine recreational shooters — Supplies a consistent 518 J of muzzle energy packaged in 50-round quantities, providing standard-pressure feeding and minimal bore fouling across high-volume range drills inside 50 metres.

Less suitable for: Ethical hunting or pest dispatch requiring expanding Soft Point or Jacketed Hollow Point projectiles; IPSC competitors needing Major Power Factor ammunition; and target engagements beyond 50 to 100 metres, where velocity drops to 298 m/s and trajectory drops by -29.6 cm, making higher-velocity rifle-calibre ammunition better suited.
