The Sellier & Bellot 9mm Luger 100 Grain SP ammunition (SKU: V310652) is a specialised standard-pressure factory load featuring a lightweight 100-grain (6.50 g) semi-jacketed soft point bullet. Engineered with an exposed soft lead core and a CuZn 10 brass jacket, this projectile reaches a high muzzle velocity of 1,404 fps (428 m/s) and generates 438 ft·lb (595 Joules) of muzzle energy from a 6-inch test barrel. This combination provides controlled expansion, minimal over-penetration, and reliable terminal weight retention at close distances. Supplied in boxes of 50 rounds with non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases, this load requires a valid Australian state or territory firearms licence (such as Category H or an authorised long-arm endorsement) with an approved 9×19mm chambering.

Key Features

• High-Velocity Lightweight Projectile: Pushes a 100-grain semi-jacketed soft point bullet to 1,404 fps at the muzzle with a 140.4 kgr·fps power factor.
• Controlled Terminal Expansion: Utilises an exposed lead tip backed by a CuZn 10 brass jacket to limit over-penetration while ensuring positive expansion.
• Factory Ballistic Trajectory: Zeroed at 25 yards (0.0 in), trajectory measures -0.7 inches at 50 yards and -7.3 inches at 100 yards.
• Standard Pressure Reliability: Operates at non-+P chamber pressures to maintain broad firearm compatibility across standard 9×19mm platforms.

Who is the S&B Sellier & Bellot 9mm Luger 100 Grain Sp Ammo 50 Rd for?

• Speed-focused handgun discipline competitors — Delivers a high muzzle velocity of 1,404 fps and a 140.4 kgr·fps power factor from a light 100-grain bullet, offering the fast slide cycling and distinct recoil impulse favoured by action shooters running 9mm Luger soft point ammunition.
• Small game hunters and feral pest dispatchers — Generates 438 ft·lb of muzzle energy paired with an exposed lead nose to deliver immediate, controlled expansion and reduce over-penetration hazards when taking close-range shots with 9mm handguns within 25 to 50 yards.

Less suitable for: Target shooting or carbine applications beyond 50 yards where the low 0.105 G1 ballistic coefficient causes rapid velocity bleed (dropping to 1,025 fps at 100 yards), or pistols with tight-tolerance 1911/2011 feed ramps tuned strictly for 1.150–1.169 inch full-metal-jacket round nose ammunition that may balk at the shorter 1.083-inch flat-nose profile; heavier 124-grain or 147-grain full-metal-jacket round nose loads better suit extended-range stability and narrow feed geometry.
