The Sellier & Bellot .357 SIG 124 Grain JHP Ammunition is a high-velocity centre-fire handgun cartridge designed for semi-automatic pistols chambered specifically for the bottleneck .357 SIG calibre. Featuring a 124-grain (8.00 g) jacketed hollow-point projectile constructed with a CuZn 10 brass jacket and lead core, this cartridge achieves a muzzle velocity of 450 m/s (1,476 fps) and delivers 810 J (600 ft·lb) of muzzle energy from a 127 mm test barrel. Supplied in a 50-round box, each round utilizes a reloadable factory brass casing fitted with a standard-pressure, non-corrosive Boxer primer to ensure consistent semi-automatic feeding, chambering, and extraction.

Key Features

• Controlled Terminal Expansion: Engineered with a two-piece jacketed hollow-point cavity designed to reliably expand upon soft tissue impact while maintaining structural integrity.
• High-Velocity Trajectory: Produces an initial velocity of 450 m/s and 810 J of energy at the muzzle, maintaining 415 m/s and 689 J at 25 metres with a flat trajectory that drops only 2.1 cm at 50 metres.
• Bottleneck Feeding Reliability: Built with a cartridge overall length of 28.96 mm and a profiled ogive that supports positive cycling across semi-automatic service platforms.
• Reloadable Quality Components: Assembled in standard-pressure factory brass cases using non-corrosive Boxer primers, yielding an estimated power factor of 183.0 kgr·fps.

Who is the S&B Sellier & Bellot 357 Sig 124 Grain Jhp Ammo 50 Rd for?

• Law enforcement officers — relies on 810 J of muzzle energy and a 124-grain jacketed hollow point to deliver controlled expansion and service-grade stopping power from duty-issue .357 SIG service pistols.
• Pest control hunters — requires a flat-shooting sidearm load producing 450 m/s at the muzzle and retaining 589 J of energy at 50 metres for rapid dispatch of feral pests at intermediate defensive distances.
• Defensive handgun shooters — benefits from consistent semi-automatic feeding and standard-pressure factory brass packaged in a 50-round box that delivers a 183.0 kgr·fps power factor for defensive practice and qualification.

Less suitable for: Engagements beyond 50 to 70 metres, where bullet drop accelerates and terminal velocity declines below 336 m/s to reduce hollow-point hydraulic expansion (where full-size rifle cartridges are required), or for non-compatible chambers including .357 Magnum revolvers, .38 Special, or 9x19mm Parabellum firearms, which require dedicated straight-wall or calibre-matched rimmed ammunition.
