The Sellier & Bellot .270 Win 150 Grain Soft Point Ammunition 50-Round Bulk Pack (SKU V335542) is engineered for medium-to-large game hunting and volume shooting. Featuring a 150-grain (9.70-gram) semi-jacketed soft point bullet with a CuZn 10 tombac jacket, this cartridge delivers controlled deformation upon impact, pairing rapid energy transfer with deep terminal penetration. Factory ballistics measured from a 600 mm (23.5-inch) test barrel produce a muzzle velocity of 2,641 fps (805 m/s) and a muzzle energy of 2,323 ft-lbs (3,143 Joules). Each round is assembled using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases, packaged in an economical 50-round format ideal for multi-day field trips and range zeroing.

Key Features

• Controlled Terminal Expansion: Built with an exposed lead core tip that deforms predictably on target, producing controlled mushrooming while maintaining high retained weight.
• Optimised Hunting Ballistics: Produces 2,641 fps muzzle velocity and 2,323 ft-lbs muzzle energy, maintaining 2,007 fps and 1,341 ft-lbs at 200 yards.
• Reloadable Components: Standard Boxer-primed, non-corrosive brass casing with a cartridge overall length of 3.240 inches (82.3 mm).
• Economical Bulk Format: Supplied in 50-round packaging with a total pack weight of approximately 1.30 kg, reducing per-round costs for extensive sight-in work and extended hunts.

Who is the S&B Sellier & Bellot 270 Win 150 Grain Sp Ammo 50 Rd Bulk Pack for?

• Medium-to-large game hunters — Delivers controlled expansion and heavy penetration on species such as red deer, sambar, fallow deer, and feral pigs, generating 2,323 ft-lbs of muzzle energy with a 150-grain soft-point projectile.
• Shooters conducting volume practice and sight-in work — Provides identical field ballistics across a 50-round box format at 2,641 fps, giving hunters sufficient round capacity to verify zero and build practical positional familiarity without mixing ammunition batches.

Less suitable for: Long-range shooting beyond 300 metres, where velocity drops to 1,725 fps and energy falls below 1,000 ft-lbs (991 ft-lbs) due to the 0.266 G1 ballistic coefficient; hunters targeting longer distances should consider streamlined, polymer-tipped boat-tail cartridges designed for flatter trajectories. This ammunition is also strictly compatible with rifles chambered specifically for .270 Winchester and must not be chambered in .270 WSM, .30-06, or 6.5mm platforms.
