What type of primers do these S&B .22 Hornet brass cases require?

These factory-new cases are configured with a standard Boxer primer pocket, making them fully compatible with standard Small Rifle (SR) primers. This design simplifies the decapping process and ensures reliable, uniform ignition for your handloaded ammunition.

What is the recommended maximum range when shooting handloads built with these .22 Hornet cases?

Handloads developed in these cases are engineered primarily for short-to-medium range pest control and target shooting, operating most effectively within 150 to 200 metres. Beyond 200 metres, rapid velocity loss and bullet drop make higher-capacity centrefires like the .223 Rem a more suitable choice.

Do I need any special licensing to purchase these unprimed brass cases in Australia?

While unprimed brass cases are inert metallic components and are generally classified as non-explosive reloading materials, local State and Territory firearms legislation across Australia may still require you to hold an appropriate firearms licence in the matching category to purchase or possess them.

How many cases are included in each retail pack, and how are they constructed for longevity?

Each retail pack contains 20 unprimed brass cases featuring a nominal length of approximately 1.403 inches (35.64 mm). They are manufactured with factory annealing along the case neck and shoulder to resist work-hardening splits and extend case life across multiple reload cycles.
