Are these Sellier & Bellot 6.5x52R cases compatible with 6.5x52mm Carcano military rifles?

No, these are strictly rimmed 6.5x52R cases designed for .25-35 Winchester dimensions and are not compatible with rimless military rounds like the 6.5x52mm Carcano. They are engineered specifically for classic European combination guns and vintage lever-action rifles requiring a rimmed case profile.

What type of primer do these unprimed brass cases accept?

These cases feature a standard Boxer-primed pocket configuration, designed to accept Large Rifle Boxer primers. This makes them straightforward to deprime and re-prime using standard single-stage or progressive reloading presses.

What is the recommended maximum effective range when handloading these 6.5x52R brass cases?

When loaded for hunting applications with standard projectiles like 117 gr soft points, factory ballistic tables note a Maximum Recommended Distance of approximately 127 metres. They are best suited for short-to-medium-range hunting of medium deer or vermin rather than long-range target shooting.

Do I need any specific firearms licence or regulatory compliance to purchase unprimed brass cases in Australia?

Yes, although unprimed brass cases are inert reloading components containing no active propellant or primers, Australian firearm retailers and purchasers must comply with state and territory firearms legislation, typically requiring a relevant Category A or B firearms licence to acquire ammunition components.

6.5x52r Brass - Sellier & Bellot V337182

The Sellier & Bellot V337182 Rifle Cases provide reloadable unprimed brass designed specifically for custom handloading 6.5x52R ammunition. Manufactured in the Czech Republic to strict European C.I.P. dimensional standards, these drawn brass cases serve as an essential component for sustaining obsolete or legacy firearms. The 6.5x52R cartridge represents the metric equivalent of the classic .25-35 Winchester, featuring a standard case length of approximately 52.00 mm and an overall loaded length of 64.50 mm. Each inert, non-powered casing features a standard Boxer-primed pocket, offering consistent neck tension and ductile alloy construction engineered to withstand repeated reloading cycles.

Key Features

Drawn Reloadable Brass: Engineered from ductile brass alloy to endure multiple reloading cycles, full-length sizing, and neck resizing.
Standard Boxer Primer Pocket: Facilitates standard handloading setups, allowing straightforward depriming and uniform primer seating.
Precise C.I.P. Tolerances: Formed to strict dimensional standards ensuring reliable chambering and extraction in vintage actions.
Vintage Calibre Support: Delivers new-production reloadable brass for rifles where factory-loaded commercial ammunition is scarce or discontinued.

Who is the Sellier & Bellot 6.5x52R Rifle Cases 20 Pack for?

Handloaders reloading legacy and vintage firearms — relies on unprimed rifle brass casings sized to a 52.00 mm C.I.P. case length to safely handload cartridges up to a maximum operating pressure of 3,050 bar for classic lever-action rifles chambered in .25-35 Winchester.
Shooters maintaining European combination guns — uses these unprimed rifle brass casings packaged in a convenient 20-pack bag to load ammunition specifically tailored to the rimmed dimensions of vintage drillings and vierlings where factory ammunition is obsolete.

Less suitable for: Owners of military firearms chambered in rimless 6.5x52mm Carcano or European rifles chambered in 6.5x57R, as dimensional differences prevent safe chambering; this cartridge is also unsuited for hunting game larger than medium deer past a Maximum Recommended Distance of 127 metres, where larger-capacity hunting calibres (such as 6.5x55 SE, 6.5 Creedmoor, or .270 Win) are required.
