What type of primers do the S&B 30-30 Winchester brass cases require?

These unprimed brass cases feature standard Boxer primer pockets, requiring Large Rifle primers for your handloading setup. Being factory annealed at the neck and shoulder, they offer improved ductility and consistent neck tension right out of the bag.

Do I need to do any case prep before the first loading with these S&B V337932 cases?

Yes, as with all new unprimed brass, it is recommended to inspect, size, chamfer, and deburr the case mouth prior to initial charging and bullet seating to ensure optimal consistency. For smooth resizing and to prevent stuck cases, pairing them with a quality lubricant like Redding Imperial Sizing Die Wax is highly recommended.

What is the pressure limit and effective shooting range when handloading these .30-30 brass cases?

Handloads built on this brass should strictly adhere to the standard SAAMI maximum average pressure limit of 42,000 PSI (3,200 bar for C.I.P.). They are designed to deliver classic performance for lever-action and single-shot rifles primarily within a 0 to 200-metre hunting envelope on medium game such as feral pigs and deer.

Are any special firearms licenses required to purchase unprimed brass cases in Australia?

While empty unprimed brass cases are classified as non-powered reloading components rather than explosive ammunition, state-by-state Australian firearm regulations still apply. Some jurisdictions require purchasers to present a valid firearms licence matching the appropriate calibre when buying from licensed dealers.

The Sellier & Bellot 30-30 Winchester Unprimed Rifle Cartridge Cases provide virgin, reloadable drawn brass tailored for precision handloading. Manufactured in the Czech Republic to standard SAAMI and C.I.P. dimensional tolerances, each unprimed case features factory neck and shoulder annealing to maintain consistent neck tension, ensure ductility, and extend case life across repeated reloading cycles. Designed for firearms chambered in .30-30 Winchester (.30 WCF), such as lever-action rifles, these cases feature Boxer primer pockets compatible with standard Large Rifle primers.

Who is the S&B Sellier & Bellot 30-30 Winchester Unprimed Brass Cases 20 Pack for?

Lever-action handloaders — requires virgin .30-30 Winchester unprimed rifle brass cases engineered with standard Boxer primer pockets to safely withstand chamber pressures up to the standard 42,000 PSI limit across multiple reloading cycles.
Medium-game hunters — sets up custom hunting handloads using 20 pieces per pack of factory-annealed .30-30 Winchester brass to target feral pigs, deer, or goats within standard practical ranges from 0 to 200 metres.

Less suitable for: Long-range shooting beyond 200 to 250 metres distance, where trajectory drop and kinetic energy falloff dictate high-velocity, flat-shooting bottleneck rifle calibres.
