The Sellier & Bellot .308 Winchester 150 Grain SPCE Cutting Edge Rifle Ammunition (manufacturer model V340902) delivers a specialised soft point projectile designed for hunting light-to-medium game. Built with a 150-grain (9.70-gram) Semi-Jacketed Soft Point Cutting Edge (SPCE) bullet, this load leaves the muzzle at 2,789 fps (850 m/s) with 2,590 ft·lbs (3,512 J) of energy from a standard 23.5-inch test barrel. The projectile features a tombac (CuZn 10) jacket with a stepped cutting shoulder that mechanically locks the lead core to prevent separation upon impact while punching a clean, circular hole through hide to ensure distinct blood trails.

Key Features

• SPCE Cutting Edge Bullet Design: Features a distinct shoulder on the tombac jacket that locks the core and jacket together to mitigate separation, cutting a round, wadcutter-like entry wound that resists closing over for improved tracking.
• Factory Ballistics: Produces a muzzle velocity of 2,789 fps and muzzle energy of 2,590 ft·lbs, sustaining 2,184 fps and 1,588 ft·lbs of energy at 200 yards.
• Quality Reloadable Components: Assembled in standard reloadable brass cases featuring non-corrosive Boxer primers with an overall cartridge length of 2.677 inches (68.0 mm).
• Predictable Trajectory: Engineered with a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.290, maintaining a drop of -3.7 inches at 200 yards and -14.7 inches at 300 yards when zeroed at 100 yards.

Who is the S&B Sellier & Bellot 308 Win 150 Grain Spce Cutting Edge Ammo 20 Rd for?

• Hunters targeting fallow deer, chital deer, feral pigs, and feral goats — provides reliable expansion and clean entry wounds at short-to-medium distances, pushing a 150-grain SPCE projectile at a muzzle velocity of 2,789 fps with 2,041 ft·lbs of energy remaining at 100 yards.
• Shooters seeking reloadable brass hunting ammunition — features reloadable Boxer-primed brass cases paired with a G1 0.290 ballistic coefficient projectile engineered specifically for .308 Winchester centerfire rifles harvesting medium-sized game out to 250–300 yards.

Less suitable for: Long-range hunting beyond 300 to 400 yards where bullet velocity drops below 1,700 fps and trajectory drop exceeds -14.7 inches at 300 yards (requiring high-BC, boat-tail, or polymer-tipped hunting projectiles), or heavily built game like large Sambar stag, scrub bulls, and water buffalo (which require heavier bonded or monolithic copper projectiles).
