The Sightron SII Series 36x42 BRD Riflescope (SKU: 30156) is a fixed-power optical instrument engineered specifically for static bench shooting and paper target grouping. Built on a 1-inch (25.4 mm) one-piece aircraft-grade aluminium tube, it combines an extreme fixed 36x magnification with an adjustable objective to deliver fine target resolution. It utilises Sightron’s ExacTrack erector system to maintain repeatable internal tracking, paired with a non-illuminated Target Dot reticle designed to minimise bullseye obstruction at long distances.

Key Features

• Target Dot Reticle: Second focal plane reticle with an ultra-fine 1/8 MOA centre dot and fine crosshairs to avoid obscuring small target rings.
• Precision Adjustment Turrets: Capped, finger-adjustable target turrets provide distinct 1/8 MOA click values with 7.5 MOA of travel per revolution.
• ExacTrack Erector System: Patented erector assembly design that applies uniform, constant pressure to ensure consistent tracking across the full adjustment range.
• Adjustable Objective (AO): Features a 720° rotation mechanism and locking collar, allowing parallax-free focus from 45 feet (13.7 m / 15 yards) to infinity.
• ZACT-7 Revcoat Optical Coatings: Fully multi-coated lenses engineered to maximise light transmission and eliminate surface glare.
• Sealed Construction: Factory nitrogen-purged, waterproof, and fog-proof chassis rated for centerfire rifle and benchrest recoil.

Who is the Sightron SII Series 36x42mm Riflescope for?

• Benchrest competition shooters — requires maximum optical enlargement for static paper targets, utilising this fixed-power target riflescope's 36x magnification and fine 1/8 MOA click values to place tight groups without covering scoring rings.
• F-Class competitors — benefits from this fixed-power target riflescope providing 60 MOA of total elevation and windage adjustment managed by the ExacTrack system for repeatable tracking across long-range static strings.
• Rimfire and airgun precision target shooters — relies on the adjustable objective on this fixed-power target riflescope to achieve a sharp, parallax-free sight picture down to a close-range threshold of 45 feet (15 yards).

Less suitable for: Targets closer than the 15-yard minimum focus threshold, dynamic or moving game hunting requiring a wider field of view than 3.0 feet at 100 yards (where low-to-mid-power 1–6x or 3–9x variable hunting optics fit better), low-light shooting where the 1.17 mm exit pupil limits brightness (where 50–56 mm objective variable scopes fit better), and practical or PRS disciplines requiring rapid holdovers and zero stops (where modern First Focal Plane tactical optics fit better).
