At the core of the Viper HD is Vortex's advanced HD Optical System, which utilizes select glass elements to deliver outstanding resolution, edge-to-edge sharpness, and true color fidelity with minimal chromatic aberration. The lenses are fully multi-coated to maximize light transmission, ensuring a bright and clear sight picture even during the critical low-light hours of dawn and dusk when game is most active. The illuminated, glass-etched Dead-Hold BDC (MOA) reticle is set in the second focal plane and provides intuitive holdover points to eliminate guesswork on bullet drop and windage corrections at various ranges. This allows for rapid and confident target acquisition without the need for turret adjustments. The illuminated center dot offers 10 brightness levels, providing a precise point of aim in challenging light conditions. Built to withstand the harshest conditions, the Viper HD is constructed from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum and features a robust 30mm tube. It is argon gas-purged and O-ring sealed for complete waterproof and fog-proof performance.
