What are the exact length and width specifications of the GrovTec Mountaineer Sling?

The GrovTec GTSL51 features a webbing width of 1.25 inches and an overall unadjusted length of 48 inches. It provides an adjustable usable length ranging from 30 inches to 42 inches to suit various shooters and carrying preferences.

Does this sling attach directly to modern M-LOK or flush-cup push-button QD sockets?

No, this model comes equipped with sewn-in 1.25-inch standard locking sling swivels designed specifically for traditional sling swivel studs. It is not natively compatible with push-button QD sockets or direct M-LOK and Picatinny interfaces unless you use separate aftermarket adapters.

Is the GrovTec GTSL51 suitable for carrying heavy precision rifles over long-duration hunts?

This model is an unpadded 1.25-inch heavy-duty woven nylon sling featuring an integrated non-slip shoulder grip, making it ideal for standard rifles and shotguns in field terrain. However, for excessively heavy precision rifle platforms or multi-day pack-in hunts, a heavily padded sling or harness setup may provide greater comfort.

Do I need a firearms licence or permit to purchase this rifle sling in Australia?

No, rifle slings are classified as unregulated firearm accessories under Australian state and territory legislation. You can legally purchase, own, and have the GrovTec Mountaineer sling shipped to your door without requiring any firearms licence or permit.
