The Hawke Sunshade Standard 32mm Objective (Model 62001) is a lightweight mechanical optical accessory designed to screw directly onto the objective bell of compatible Hawke riflescopes. Measuring 2 inches (50 mm) in length, this sunshade prevents internal lens flare and cuts bright ambient glare to preserve image contrast and target resolution in high-light shooting environments. Constructed from anodised aluminium with a non-reflective matte black finish, it threads onto the front objective lens to stop forward glass glint that can compromise concealment in the field.

Key Features

• Glare and Reflection Reduction: Extends the forward optic housing by 2 inches (50 mm) to shade the front lens from direct sunlight, eliminating stray light flare.
• Position Concealment: Prevents sunlight from striking the 32mm front glass element, stopping telltale optic glint from alerting game.
• Dual-Ended Threading: Features internal and external threads allowing multiple sunshades to be stacked or paired with compatible threaded metal lens covers.
• All-Metal Construction: Machined from lightweight anodised aluminium with a matte black finish to withstand field handling without adding noticeable bulk.

Who is the Hawke Standard 32mm Sunshade for?

• Rimfire small-game hunters — needing position concealment in direct sunlight, this riflescope objective sunshade shields the 32 mm objective lens to eliminate forward glass reflections that spook quarry across open paddocks.
• Daylight target shooters — shooting in harsh ambient glare, this 2 inches (50 mm) optical sunshade blocks off-axis light from washing out contrast and sight picture clarity on bright outdoor ranges.

Less suitable for: Hawke scopes manufactured prior to 2015, Frontier 30 series models, XB/XB1 crossbow scopes, 24mm objective optics, or adjustable objective optics, which require a dedicated 32mm AO-threaded sunshade variant.
