The Norma Dedicated Hunting Bondstrike Extreme .300 Winchester Magnum 180gr ammunition is engineered for long-range big game hunting where aerodynamic efficiency and controlled terminal expansion are critical. Featuring a 180-grain bonded polymer-tip boat-tail projectile, this cartridge achieves a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.615 and a factory-rated muzzle velocity of 3,084 fps (940 m/s) with 3,801 ft-lbs (5,169 Joules) of muzzle energy from a 660 mm (26 in) test barrel. Built with reloadable brass cases and Boxer primers, it utilizes proprietary bonding technology to prevent core-jacket separation at high impact velocities while ensuring reliable expansion across extended distances.

Key Features:

• Aerodynamic Projectile Design: Utilizes a polymer tip combined with a match-style boat-tail to maximize ballistic efficiency and maintain a flat flight trajectory over long distances.
• Proprietary Power-Bonding: Fuses the core to a thinner front jacket to prevent core-jacket separation at close-range impact velocities while maintaining controlled expansion at lower downrange velocities.
• Long-Range Terminal Energy: Retains 2,625 fps of velocity and 2,754 ft-lbs of energy at 300 metres, with an engineered Most Recommended Distance (MRD) baseline of 195 metres.
• Premium Reloadable Components: Loaded in factory-new, Boxer-primed, non-corrosive brass casings suited for reloading.

Who is the Norma Bondstrike Extreme 300 Win Mag 180gr for?

• Open-Country Red Deer and Sambar Deer Hunters — Delivers a high 0.615 G1 ballistic coefficient and a 3,084 fps muzzle velocity from this .300 Winchester Magnum hunting ammunition, maintaining flat trajectories and high kinetic energy retention across open terrain.
• Extended-Range Big Game Hunters — Leverages a 180-grain bonded boat-tail bullet to provide deep terminal penetration and controlled expansion across distances exceeding 500 to 800 yards on large game like elk and moose.

Less suitable for: Close-range brush hunting on lighter pests or thick scrub shooting where a high-recoil, high-velocity cartridge causes excessive meat damage (smaller, standard-velocity non-magnum calibres like .308 Win are better suited), or firearms chambered in .300 WSM, .300 PRC, or .300 RUM.
