The Norma Jaktmatch 8x57 JS 123gr FMJ (50 Pack) is dedicated centrefire target ammunition designed for rifle zeroing, competitive practice, and short-to-medium-range training. Loaded with a lightweight 8.0 g (123 gr) Full Metal Jacket projectile, it delivers a muzzle velocity of 860 m/s (2,822 fps) and 2,958 Joules of muzzle energy from a standard 610 mm test barrel. Engineered with consistent factory tolerances, it provides predictable internal and external ballistics for range practice while offering high-grade reloadable brass cases for subsequent handloading cycles.

Key Features

• Factory Training Consistency: Produces uniform velocities and reliable trajectories for target zeroing, standing position training, and running target disciplines.
• Lightweight Projectile Profile: The 123 gr FMJ bullet achieves an initial velocity of 860 m/s with moderate recoil, facilitating extended range sessions.
• Short-to-Medium Trajectory: Optimised with a 0.191 (G1) ballistic coefficient and a recommended zero distance (MRD) of 158 m for engagements inside 200 m.
• Reloadable Norma Brass: Assembled with factory-drawn brass cases and non-corrosive primers, offering structural longevity across multiple reloading cycles.
• High-Volume Packaging: Supplied in boxes of 50 cartridges to support standard target practice routines.

Who is the Norma Jaktmatch 8x57 JS 123gr FMJ for?

• Target Shooters and Range Hunters — Requires short-to-medium-range zeroing and practice between 0 and 200 m using a flat-shooting 123 gr bullet that leaves the muzzle at 860 m/s (2,822 fps) with a 0.191 G1 ballistic coefficient.
• 8x57 JS Handloaders — Fires high-volume factory 8x57 JS target ammunition supplied in a 50-round pack specifically to retain the premium-grade Norma drawn brass cases for custom handloading.

Less suitable for: Firing in vintage 8x57 J or 8x57 I rifles requiring narrower 0.318 in bore projectiles, or for hunting medium-to-large game (such as deer and pigs) where non-expanding FMJ bullets are legally restricted and expanding soft-point or bonded hunting ammunition is required.
