The Sellier & Bellot 7x64 Brenneke 140 Grain Semi-Jacketed Soft Point (SP) ammunition is a centrefire rifle cartridge engineered for medium-game hunting, load development, and rifle zeroing. Featuring an exposed soft lead core with a standard copper-alloy jacket, this projectile delivers controlled expansion and uniform energy transfer without premature fragmentation. The 140-grain loading provides a flatter trajectory and higher velocity compared to traditional 173-grain European loadings, maintaining terminal effectiveness at practical hunting distances out to 250 to 300 metres. Each round is assembled using reloadable factory brass casings fitted with non-corrosive Boxer primers.

Key Features

• Controlled Expansion: Semi-jacketed soft point bullet design initiates reliable upset and broad wound channels on game targets while preserving core integrity.
• Flat-Shooting Ballistics: Produces a factory-rated muzzle velocity of 2,808 fps (856 m/s) and a muzzle energy of 2,451 ft-lbs (3,323 J) for minimal drop across mid-range distances.
• Reloadable Components: Built with standard non-corrosive Boxer primers and quality brass cases suitable for repeated handloading.
• Bulk Packaging: Supplied in a 50-round carton, offering extended range capacity over standard 20-round retail boxes.

Who is the Sellier & Bellot 7x64 Brenneke 140 Grain SP Ammo 50-Round Bulk Pack for?

• Medium-Game Hunters — requires reliable expansion and high kinetic energy for species such as fallow deer, chital deer, red deer, feral pigs, and goats, delivered by this 7x64 Brenneke soft point ammunition generating 2,451 ft-lbs of muzzle energy and 2,808 fps muzzle velocity.
• Target Shooters and Range Enthusiasts — requires higher volume for sighting-in, barrel zeroing, and practical field practice, accommodated by this 50-round bulk carton of 140-grain 7x64 Brenneke soft point ammunition.

Less suitable for: Heavy-bodied game such as large sambar stags or mature scrub bulls requiring deeper weight retention, where heavier 173-grain soft point cut-edge (SPCE) bullets or solid monolithic copper hunting projectiles fit better; this cartridge is also incompatible with firearms chambered in 7x65R, .270 Winchester, or .30-06 Springfield.
