The S&B Sellier & Bellot 22 Flobert CB 18 Grain Conical Ammo is specialised low-noise rimfire gallery ammunition designed for indoor target practice, vintage firearm preservation, and close-range rodent dispatch. Featuring a copper-plated conical lead projectile, this cartridge relies on a rimfire priming compound and minimal propellant to generate low decibel levels and minimal recoil. It is compatible with .22 Flobert, 6mm Flobert, and .22 CB Cap chambers, as well as manually operated firearms chambered in .22 Short, .22 Long, or .22 Long Rifle.

Key Features

• Reduced Sound Signature: Produces a low-noise muzzle discharge suitable for noise-sensitive indoor galleries and contained rural shooting areas.
• Conical Point Profile: Offers improved aerodynamic stability and target penetration over traditional round-ball Flobert BB caps.
• Vintage Firearm Safety: Generates low operating pressures, allowing manual shooting in antique and delicate rimfire actions without the mechanical strain of modern loads.
• Copper-Plated Projectile: Helps minimise lead fouling within the bore during repeated gallery use.

Who is the S&B Sellier & Bellot 22 Flobert CB 18 Grain Conical Ammo 100 Rd for?

• Indoor gallery and vintage rimfire target shooters — requires low-pressure rimfire gallery ammunition producing 39 Joules (29 ft-lbf) of energy to safely shoot antique, single-shot, or manual-feed firearms without damaging fragile actions.
• Backyard and barn pest controllers — requires quiet, low-velocity pest dispatch ammunition delivering an 18-grain projectile at 853 fps for point-blank rodent control at ranges within 10 to 15 metres.

Less suitable for: Distances beyond 15–20 metres where the 18-grain bullet rapidly drops velocity, hunting medium pests such as rabbits or foxes that require 130–190+ Joules of kinetic energy, or semi-automatic firearms that will not cycle this low-recoil cartridge; standard-velocity or high-velocity .22 LR ammunition with 36–40 grain projectiles is required for these applications.
