Does the ZeroTech Thrive X 4-16x50 require any batteries or electrical compliance marks like SAA and RCM for use in Australia?

No, this riflescope is an entirely mechanical, non-illuminated optical instrument and contains no electrical components or internal wiring. Consequently, Australian electrical regulations, 240V plug requirements, and SAA or RCM compliance marks do not apply to this product.

What ring size and height are recommended to mount this scope properly on a standard rifle barrel profile?

This riflescope features a 30 mm one-piece main tube and a 58.5 mm outer objective bell diameter. Because of the large 50 mm objective lens and outer bell dimensions, you will typically need medium to high 30 mm scope rings to ensure proper clearance over your rifle barrel.

How close can I focus this scope for rimfire pest control or short-range target work?

The side focus parallax adjustment on the Thrive X 4-16x50 can focus down to a remarkably close 10 metres (11 yards) and adjust all the way out to infinity. This makes it versatile enough for close-range rimfire applications as well as medium-to-long-range centre-fire hunting.

Are the turrets on this model exposed for quick tactical adjustments in the field?

No, this specific model features capped low-profile elevation and windage turrets with a 0.25 MOA click value and a total travel of 60 MOA. The capped design is intentionally chosen to prevent accidental adjustments when pushing through thick Australian bush or scrub.

Thrive X Riflescope - ZeroTech THX4165

The ZeroTech Thrive X 4-16x50 Zeroplex Capped Elevation is a second focal plane variable-power hunting riflescope designed for medium-to-long-range field shooting. Built around a 30 mm one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube, this optic combines a 4–16x magnification range with a large 50 mm objective lens to maintain target clarity in low-light environments. Elevation and windage are managed via low-profile capped turrets to eliminate unintentional movement while navigating dense vegetation. Featuring a non-illuminated, passive optical design, it employs an uncluttered ZEROPLEX duplex-style reticle and adjustable side focus parallax that dials from 10 metres to infinity, supporting both rimfire pest control and centerfire game hunting.

Who is the ZeroTech Thrive X 4-16x50 Zeroplex for?

Medium-to-long-range feral pest hunters — benefits from the 4–16x magnification range and 50 mm objective lens to identify and track pigs, foxes, and wild dogs out to extended distances with high optical clarity.
Medium game hunters pursuing deer — relies on this variable riflescope's capped turrets providing 60 MOA of internal adjustment, preventing accidental zero shifts while stalking through thick brush.
Casual target and range shooters — utilises the precise 0.25 MOA click adjustments and side parallax focusing down to 10 metres to shoot paper targets at varying distances without reticle clutter.

Less suitable for: Shooters requiring rapid ballistic elevation dialing past 300 to 400 metres (better served by a long-range optic with exposed tactical or BDC turrets), fast-moving close-quarters hunting in thick scrub where a narrow 9.8 m field of view restricts tracking (better served by a 1-6x or 1-8x low-power variable optic), or backcountry hunters requiring an optic under 500 g (better served by a 1-inch tube 3-9x40 riflescope).
